If you've ever visited a Drupal camp or conference before, chances are you came upon someone mentioning the necessity of using "version management" and you probably watched in awe as all the coders in the room nodded their heads gravely.

If you ever wondered why this is so, this session's for you.

I had this experience over a year ago and decided to look into the pros and cons of version management and how I could accomplish it without using a command line interface. In the process I even succeeded in finding tools that emit a decent web2.0ish, designy feeling.

Mithilfe des Moduls ThemeKey ist es möglich, Regeln zu erstellen, nach
denen eine Webseite dynamisch auf ein anderes Theme umschaltet. In
Kombination mit Drupals Theme-Engine und deren Unterstützung von
Vererbung innerhalb von Themes lassen sich damit auf einfache Weise
interessante Anforderungen umsetzen:

• optisch getrennte Kanäle (z.B. ellviva.de)
• die Startseite als Sonderfall
• zeitlich begrenzte „Homepage-Einfärbung“ als Werbeform

Die Session soll Anfängern wie auch vertretern der Wirtschaft die Vorteile von Drupal in Zusammenhang mit dem Thema E-Commerce aufzeigen.

Anhand eines Online-Shops der mit Drupal realisiert wurde, sollen die Teilnehmer lernen wie man mit Drupal eine optimale E-Commerce Anwendung umsetzen kann. Dabei werden auch berühmte Beispiele aus der Praxis präsentiert, die einmal mehr beweisen wie vielseitig dieses Content Management Framework ist.

This session is not about why you should use grids for your design or the philosophy behind it, it's about how to accomplish grid-based Drupal theming with the 960.gs framework.
